We welcome volunteers to help lead, organize, or support programs that reflect our mission. You can:

• Assist with cultural events like Newroz
• Support language classes and youth activities
• Help with logistics, setup, or outreach during community gatherings

Join a Committee

Members can serve on dedicated committees that help steer our work forward. Current and planned committees include:

• Public Relations – Share our message through media, outreach, and storytelling
• Cultural & Educational Programs – Shape language and heritage-based activities
• Fundraising & Development – Support community growth through donations and partnerships
• Advocacy & Civic Engagement – Organize efforts that amplify Kurdish voices in Tennessee

Participate in Events

From organizing food to hosting guests or simply showing up to support, event participation is at the heart of our community spirit. Members are encouraged to be active at all seasonal events and cultural programs.

Board Elections & Leadership

KDC Nashville is led by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by its active members. All Regular Members in good standing:

• Are eligible to nominate or run for board seats during elections
• Can help shape leadership and long-term strategy through democratic participation
